Training and Support

Once you have chosen the accounting package that suits your requirements, Jon offers a range of services, from installation to training and follow up support.
Installation of the package itself is rarely a problem. Once installed, however, your accounts will need to be created and configured to suit your business.

In plain language, this means you will have to create a list of all the accounts, set up a list of debtors and creditors, determine your financial year end and enter opening balances, or import data from an existing source.
This all takes time and may be daunting, especially for anyone with limited knowledge of computers or accounting software, not to mention the ongoing demands of their business to attend to as well!
Jon normally recommends an initial 2 hours training, where he helps you install the package, create the opening information you need, and get you going on entering day-to-day transactions.

He would normally then visit you at a month end, or BAS period end, where additional reporting and back-up would be required for another 2 hours of training.

Some clients rely on ongoing regular monthly visits where Jon will check what they have done, sort out any difficulties and help produce monthly management accounts.
